Combining the literal translation of my last name and the foundational element of a company's financial health, Fox & Ledger was founded to help business owners transform the surplus data that can clutter up their den into smart and actionable insights.
Leveraging a bachelor's degree in business, I spent over a decade in core financial accounting roles, doing everything from daily bookkeeping to complex financial reporting. After years of working in different industries including energy, construction and cloud SaaS, I found myself stating time and time again: There has to be better way - this work doesn’t have to be so painful and could be done better, faster, and create more impact for the business.
That obsession led me to my role at Xero, where I spent years helping accountants and bookkeepers across Canada redefine their operations with better tools and processes. This gave me a front-row seat to how the biggest firms in Canada run their cloud finance teams, and, in quite a few cases, how they don't run them. Along the way I earned my certification in Change Management through PROSCI after realizing that software is only half the battle; true transformation happens when people and processes actually adapt together seamlessly.
Over the last 15+ years, I’ve had the unique privilege of seeing both sides of the coin. I’ve run business financials from the inside and equipped advisors from the outside. I fell in love with both perspectives, and it sparked a desire to do more of both. Along the way I’ve seen that true optimization should serve your life, not just your balance sheet, so I made a conscious pivot in 2025. I moved to the heart of the mountains in British Columbia, where I now spend my winters teaching skiing and building a life rooted in balance, joy, and contentment.
