Named after the Dutch word for fox - and the family name behind the firm - Fox & Ledger was founded on a simple observation: most business owners have access to plenty of data, but very little clarity is found in it. At Fox & Ledger, we bridge that gap.

My journey to founding this firm wasn't mapped out in a traditional corporate cubicle. I spent over a decade in core financial accounting roles, doing everything from daily bookkeeping to complex financial reporting. Early on, I became obsessed with a single question: How can we use digital transformation to make our workflows better, faster, and more impactful?That obsession led me to my dream job at Xero, where I spent years helping accountants and bookkeepers across Canada redefine their operations. I ultimately ended up leading Xero Canada’s Enterprise Team, giving me a front-row seat to how the biggest firms in Canada run their cloud finance teams - and, in quite a few cases, how they don't run them.

Over the last 15+ years, I’ve had the unique privilege of seeing both sides of the coin. I’ve run business financials from the inside and equipped advisors from the outside. I fell in love with both perspectives, and it sparked an idea of how to make both a reality. Realizing that true optimization should serve your life, not just your balance sheet, I made a conscious pivot. I moved to the heart of the mountains in British Columbia, where I now spend my winters teaching skiing and building a life rooted in balance, joy, and contentment.
